China ABSTRACT: The output characteristics of the high power transverse-flow CO2 (helium-free) laser influenced by the steady resistors are studied experimentally and the optimal parameters of steady resistors are determined. When the total pressure is 60 torr with the gas mixture of CO2 : Ar : N2 = 1.5 : 10 : 10, the output power reaches 2.5 kW with an efficiency of 16.9%.
